The game itself is relatively easy to play and once you realize that it is in fact two games in one you will then uncover a multitude of different wagers and payouts that come in effect.

The main game is known as the Ante game and here a standard deck of playing cards is used, these are always shuffled before a new hand is dealt. The aim of this game is simply to try and get yourself a better hand that the one the Dealer is holding.

In the Ante game there are two sets of payouts, these are decided depending on whether the Dealers hand Qualifies, it will Qualify if he is holding a Queen High or any hand higher in value that this. Should the Dealers hand not Qualify then a standard set of payouts come into force.

How To Play 3 Card Poker

To play the Ante part of the game you first need to place a wager on the Ante Box section of the table layout, you can place as little a 0.50 or a maximum of 200.00

Once you have placed this wager you are then dealt three cards all facing upwards, the Dealer is also dealt three cards, however these are dealt face down.

You then need to study your cards and decide whether you think it is going to be strong enough to beat the Dealers currently unseen hand, if you think it is not worth playing on simply click the Fold button and the game will end and your Ante wager is removed from the table and lost. The Dealers cards will also be turned upwards to show you what he was holding.

If on the other hand you think your hand is strong enough to beat the Dealers then you need to click the Play button, once you do this an additional wager that is equal too your initial wager is placed onto the Play section of the table layout, and the Dealers cards will be revealed.

Should the Dealers hand not qualify then you are paid out at the rate of 1 to 1 for your Ante wager and your play wager is returned to you as a Push.

Should the Dealer Qualify by getting at least a Queen in his hand and your hand is stronger than his then you will be paid out depending on the rank of your three cards.

3 Card Poker Payouts

If you get a Highest Card Hand, a Pair or a Flush then you are paid out at odds of 1 to 1 on both your Ante and Play wagers, should you get a Straight Hand then an additional 1 to 1 payout is paid on your Play Wager, get yourself Three of a Kind and your Play bet is paid out at odds of 4 to 1, and if you are holding a Straight Flush and the Dealers Hand has Qualified then you are paid out on the Ante wager at odds of 40 to 1.

The Pair Plus wager can be played either as a stand alone bet without the need to place an Ante wager or as an additional stand alone wager to compliment the Ante wager.

The Pairs Plus wager minimum stake is 0.50 and a maximum wager is 200.00, to win this wager you simply need to get a hand dealt to you that contains a Pair or higher in ranking, it doesn't matter what the Dealer is holding or whether he Qualifies or not, as long as your hand is a Pair or higher you will win.

The payouts for the Pairs Plus wager are as follows, a Pair pays Even Money (1:1), a Flush pays 4 to 1, a Straight pays 6 to 1, Three of a Kind pays 30 to 1 and a Straight Flush pays 40 to 1.
